Hi. I'm Brooke. Welcome to my website. Are you here about guitar lessons?

I teach convenient in-home private lessons in Forney, Rockwall, and Dallas. My studio is located near I-30 for students located in Mesquite and Dallas, but depending on your location I can come to you (most of Rockwall, Kaufman and Dallas counties). My lessons are tailored to meet the students needs and the cost varies depending on the distance I have to drive ($30-$40 per lesson typically). If you are interested in private lessons, please fill out the interest form below.

I also teach group guitar lessons for all ages, with classes divided by age range (children ages 7-17 and adults). I work with homeschool groups/associations/co-ops as well as churches to offer beginner acoustic guitar courses at their location. If you have a group of 4 or more people that want to learn guitar, then you qualify. If you want to host a class in your home, I can offer discounted lessons to you or your student. Please click here to register for the upcoming group class being offered in Dallas & Forney starting in May

My classes are very affordable and my group lessons provide incentive and accountability for the student. If you are interested in getting a class started for the spring for your group, you can reach me by email: brookewesson@gmail.com and cell phone (469)759-9550. Price range varies per student depending on location, typically $20 per lesson per student for group classes. I am available for most of the DFW metroplex and parts of east TX.

My Teaching Philosophy

Most people pick up the guitar so that they can play...what?
Scales? Finger exercises? Chord drills? Hardly!
Most people want to learn how to play SONGS! I am all about teaching you SONGS. While I think guitar theory, scales and finger exercises are important, when I teach beginners, I start with helping you learn how to play songs FIRST. Once you have learned how to make chords, switch chords and strum, then we build upon the knowledge of guitar by slowly adding theory.
Learning how to play the guitar should be fun, and my goal is to help you as the student play the guitar and have fun doing so. My eight week course focuses primarily on worship music that most churchgoers know, while my private lessons are tailored to meet the specific desires and goals that the student has in mind. What songs do you want to learn? Those are the songs I want to teach you. Once my students are playing a few  songs, then I can build upon that knowledge with scales, finger exercises and music theory. Many teachers will force you the learn what THEY want to teach you, while I focus on what YOU the student want to know.

I've been teaching for almost 7 years now and performing since I was 17. Music is my life and my passion is to see people discover music themselves.

If that sounds like the type of guitar instructor you want, please fill out the interest form to the right so I can contact you. THANKS!
